I'm 22. not really young . and again I've tried and so have half the town I live in but again like I said she don't want the help. she will realize later on when her baby is born @snukiemom3

I don't talk to her anymore because when I got pregnant with my first she still wanted to go out and party and I didn't(wasn't really a partyer in the first place) I grew up and she wasn't down for a friend like that. she basically got pregnant by a drug dealer who is now in jail for a few years he doesn't care about her or the kid but she still says she is in love with him which she's a teenager so kinda goes with the territory. she moved out of her parents house because they had rules like any other parent does and she didn't like rules so she left. she put all those problems on herself nobody made her do anything people have tried to help her but she refuses saying "I wish I never got pregnant in the first place" she thinks it messed her life of partying up but is still keeping the baby just because she can. she's not playing the poor me card she just do sent care what happens and that's on her . @snukiemom3

ok since clearly you talk to this young lady being a real woman and a mother try to take her under your wing and attempt to guide her. she is young and probably doesn't know how to adjust to being pregnant or how serious it is for her to prepare to be a mom. it doesn't make her a bad mom for saying that she's probably scared to death of having a baby hell I said the same thing when I was pregnant with my first baby at 22 so its clearly a case of a misguided young ftm scared of her future

some women just have no sense in there heads well in that case little girls, keep.your legs close or.use protection if u know the consequences

@fiona01, no offense but who are you to judge or talk down about the next person flaws? If you aren't going to help her, why out what she's doing to us? Have you approached the young lady and expressed your concern for her unborn child's health and her well being or is that even your issue? Just maybe if you try to help instead of bashing and lead by example she might take heed and try to change. But you won't know unless you reach out. Furthermore you don't know everyone's situation or whats going on in someone life. Moral of all this stop judging and help her.

Yeah second hand smoke is a huge issue, but the smoke doesn't cross the placenta.. Some doctors believe the stress of quitting cold turkey when pregnant could cause a miscarriage if there are other medical conditions present that also increase the risk. I don't agree with smoking while pregnant, but it's not my place to judge. I mean- there's people that literally do hard street drugs every day while pregnant.

exactly and you can't say anything because that starts a whole bunch more stuff but ugh how I want to flip on her sooooo bad!! I was a young mom with my first but I don't do and didn't do have the shit these people are doing I grew up and became the mother that I need to be I grew up for my kid but aparetley there's more important things to them there their children @sheebster

Thank you it's honestly going better then I planned lol but yeah I'm not saying she doesn't deserve her baby but if your out doing that while prego then clearly your not ready to be a mom. There's a girl on my fb that I see pictures of her at the bar wth friends beer in her hand barely any of her daughter and then her snapchat she's got blunts and all sorts of shit it's like really why did you be a mom when all you wanna do is party. I have severe asthma sence born not from my mother smoking because she didn't but just from being around second hand smoke. so there really arnt any benefits to smoke while pregnant its still just as bad for you if anything thing its worse because of Tue child your having . @theemmariefactor

the difference is @sheebster your actually trying to quit. she's not. she's also one of the girls who roam the streets looking to fight and drink and you all know what else so I mean I kinda expected it but you would think for her babys help she wouldn't do have the stuff she does you know? and the only reason it makes me mad is because I have SEVERE asthma sence I was born not because my mother smoked but she was around it all the time. so it was the second hand smoke. so it does do something and its not good period especially while pregnant(not bashing you) so I'm glad your trying to quit and I wish you luck with succeeding:)

I've been smoking on and off for a very long time and it's been my only way of coping with stress bc I never drank or popped pills or smoked weed. It's hard to quit. Not gonna lie. My doctor told me quitting right away cold turkey could harm the baby to slowly quit which is going wonderful but if she's smoking away and not even trying then I'm with ya. My ob told me that 5 or more a day causes lower blood flow to the placenta but 5 or less is considered okay. I'm down to five or less a day it's been hard but I'm getting there @fiona01

Some medical conditions make smoking while pregnant safer than quitting while pregnant. Risks however do include a higher risk of miscarriage, and a lower birth rate. However, the baby doesn't get addicted/have to withdraw. (Not condoning just looking from a medical stand point).
