How do you know if you've had your period after having a vaginal birth? I had my daughter 3 weeks ago and I stopped bleeding only a week after having her. I don't know when to expect my period or when to get on birth control.

@isabellesmomma212, my 6 week appointment is on the 6th of April so I was going to ask then but I don't know if I should make another appointment for as soon as possible. @elismommy428 unfortunately I am not exclusively breastfeeding :/ i tried but it's hard to only breastfeed with my boyfriends other children (2 and 4)
are you breastfeeding?
if your exclusively breastfeeding you can consider that as a birth control, don't trust it a lot though!
you CAN get pregnant but you have lower possibilities,
I am exclusively breastfeeding, my baby is almost 8 months and just last month I started my period, I know cuz I just got my period this month too
You might be safe. But if you are really worried, you can ask your doctor.

I started my birth control after my six week check up and few days later started my period then a week and a half later had another one. 😠 lol It sucked but it was no biggy. I have pretty mild periods.
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
Birth Plan Rant
I used to be all about getting an epidural, but after research and thinking about it more I want to have an unmedicated birth (this is my first baby). What annoys me is when I say that I'm going to TRY my hardest to have a natural and unmedicated birth people always feel the need to say that I'm crazy or that I'm going to change my mind when I get in that position. Or that epidurals are the best. I do realize that plans change, but why can't people be supportive and encouraging?
I have a TMI question. I had my son 7 weeks ago. My fiance and I had sex at 3 weeks post partum. I had a c-section so the bleeding stopped at 2 weeks. We have never used birth control and the pull out method has worked for us. I've been having weird discharge and I just want to know if anyone else had this and what was the outcome. Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
You can just call and ask. I'm sure some one can tell you right away if you should be okay or to come in sooner. No harm in asking. 😊
