So I'm embarrassed and ashamed to admit this but I really need to get it off my chest. My SO and I lost our town home in September bc of hazardous conditions. Everything we worked for was taken away. We've been staying in an extended stay hotel ever since. It's been extremely hard starting over from scratch after losing everything. I'm so depressed bc our baby is due in June, and we're still here. None of my friends or family have bothered visiting me here. I feel so alone. I don't even know if I'll be able to have a baby shower, bc if we don't find a little place in time, we won't have anywhere to put the stuff. I want to nest but can't. I'm just so depressed and unsettled feeling. I try to make light of it but some days it's just really hard. The staff here are really rude to me too. I just feel so unwelcome and displaced. I loved our little home so much and everything we had, and now I already feel like a bad mom bc I don't even have a place to call home. I'm praying for a miracle and to stay strong. I know this too shall pass. I just really needed to let it out:(

Thanks @carlitojrmami @sarahdd16 and yes, black mold painted over with latex and all in the ventilation system. We're in the process of a major lawsuit with the management company but we were told this kind of case could take up to 2/3 years before paying off.

I have a soon to be there year old that stays with my grandparents as me and her father try to find a home for us as well...I'm pregnant with our second and refuse to tell family until we move...it's hard but as you stated this too shall pass @lumbeemama

@gypsy.soul2, I've done some research on government housing but I plan on meeting with my social worker this coming week to talk more about it. @macdeddy05 thanks for sharing, I feel less alone. I hope everything works out for you guys too. We just gotta stay strong.

@lumbeemama, Thank God you got out. Black mold causes lung cancer as you probably know. It killed my dad recently. What you're going through totally sucks but it's so good you found out when you did!

@rgaine, I'm so sorry to hear that. It's crazy bc I wasn't able to get pregnant the whole time I lived there. Then as soon as we got out I ended up getting pregnant. I also developed hyperthyroidism and cellulitis while I was living there. It is a blessing we got out. I would not wish that on anybody.

@lumbeemama, Thank you for your kind words. Yeah, that's crazy! My dad was in the best and newest trials in the world- literally- and he only lived 18 months. Lung cancer is awful and usually doesn't show symptoms at first. Dad thought he has asthma. If you develop even a slight persistent cough or asthma type feelings demand further testing and make sure the lawsuit covers all of the possible future effects, k?

@lumbeemama, Glad to help. Definitely do research on lung cancer before the lawsuit so that you're well informed. It's the leading cause of cancer deaths in the world right now and you should be compensated if it did or could affect your future health!
