Some women have stretch marks some don't get any what's the best way to prevent them?
They say it's genetic but my mom, aunt and grandma all have terrible stretch marks and I'm 36 weeks and only have 1 tiny new one on my boob. the ones I already had on my hips from puberty have gotten darker but I expected that to happen and I had to scars on my belly that have stretched but not gotten bigger if that makes sense. I use bio oil and I swear by it! it's pricey but so worth it!
Moisturize as much as you can to make your skin elastic! It's actually genetic, which was a shocker to me. If you mom had them you will too and vice versa. But moisturize as much as possible!
I didnt get any with my 1st im using the same thing i did with this one was totally fine until 34 weeks 😭
It's genetic. It has to do with the elasticity of your skin. People say lotion, cocoa butter, etc; but that will just keep your skin moisturized. Sadly there isn't really anything you can do. If you're gonna get them, you're gonna get them. If not, you're lucky.
also depends on your body. I'm extremely tiny and my babies are big. my stretchmarks never turns red because I take car of my skin. so you have to take care of your skin. don't forget to take prenatal vitamins and eat healthy and exercise. those will help your skin
belly balm from honest company and lotion. you can't prevent it cuz ur skin stretches out for the baby. but you can minimize the way it looks and help it by moisturizing your belly
Thanks everyone!
