Okay so question...
When looking for a new doctor do you go by word of mouth or is there a way to research them.
Backstory-
We've been seeing one fertility specialist and as of now they seem to be giving up on treatments for me. My family is telling me to get a second opinion but we were referred by my obgyn to see this Fertility Doctor... I don't know where to look for a new one to see and I know others who don't have my issues with conceiving but still have them and they are seeing other doctors within the facility I've been going to but I feel super weird switching doctors with in the same office. I want a complete outside opinion that's not from the Fertility Center I currently go to.
I am in Houston, Tx and I just don't know what to do or where to look.

The fertility specialist I see now basically said that he's not seeing a change in my lining now so it more than likely will never change we need to start thinking about doing a retrieval and create embryos to freeze until I decide on a surrogate... We have had only one iui done and it failed my lining just won't thicken to where it should be but they just want to give up already we've only done this since December on monitoring my lining.. I feel like I'm not given a chance and that they are done. So if another doctor tells me the same thing then I'll accept it.

I got referrals from my ins but the list was too long so I then Google dr that deliver babies at the particular hospital I wanted. I was not willing to give birth at another hospital by doing it that way it really narrowed them down at lastly know sound silly got on the site of each female dr bc I only wanted a women and read her bio or short story luckily the first one was a charm and I love her.

@hopefullyjealousmommy, I am in the Dickinson area. So right outside Houston. My doc, Dr Kimberlyn Robinson, with UTMB, did her own tests for us and then referred us out. The news wasn't good but before we could get an appt, we were pregnant. I pray baby dust to you.

My friend told me my OB tried delivering a baby drunk but he is so professional so I don't believe it lol

We are trying to conceive I need a specialist will they still do the same?

Ask to interview them and you can ask any question about your beliefs and if they support them and if they're going to be available when you're due date is set for.
