Question for my military moms out there. Thinking about joining and I need some reassurance. My son will be 2 I April and I have a 3 month old. I know they won't allow me to join until she is 6 months or until I've stopped breastfeeding or I've dried up. I'm not nervous about joining. I'm nervous about my daughter not knowing who I am once I come back form basic and AIT.

whoever she stays with, have them show her pictures of you or videos. phone calls home will help too (when you can get them) and send letters and have someone read them to her. she won't forget you, your her momma, she will know your smell and expcecially your heart beat and your voice. my husband just got out of the Army and Now I'm thinking about joining too. my sons 10 months old, 11 months on Monday. and I'm waiting until I know he doesn't fully need mom anymore.

She'll be with my husband. Which is even scarier. I know he's capable of parenting and taking care of both kids, but I'm scared he won't do it how I do! I trust him, and I know they will be in good hands. I'm just super nervous. Thank you for saying that. I'm just so nervous to leave her! @nichole_lynn

I'm a military mom. As long as you have your husband video with you, you should be fine. The only way they would stop you from joining is if you was a single parent.

Its not for years, only for a month or so! Kids with neglectful parents usually remember their parent after years, even though they haven't been consistently in their lives, Im sure it will be fine.

Also your husband will be just fine raising them. it wont be how you do it, but that will be just fine as well! Men have their own ideas on raising kids and often they think of things moms never do!

I'm plan on joining the Air Force and I think basic is 9 weeks and depending on my MOS AIT would be 9-18 weeks. From what my husband said. Lol. I know it's not years but I haven't been away from my kids for more than a few hours. So months to me seems like decades hahaha! I know my husband will do great. He's an amazing dad. But he's never had to actively parent so I'm very nervous for him. Lol. @tahtahme

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?
