TMI......My fiance really doesn't want to stay 3 days in the hospital and my doctor OKed me leaving…

stool softeners, drink apple juice or if they offer it try prune juice lol I actually have my first bowel movement about 12 hours after they took me off the iv

apple juice like she said. I drank 4big cups of it a day and it almost caused me to have diarrhea.

@sarahdrew, @kelseys maaaaybe in the hospital if I get that desperate I'll try juice. I can't stomach it just normally. Any kind, apple, pear, prune just blech

the stool softeners really helped me honestly

@sarahdrew, I know they give them in the hospital. total last resort is sneaking a laxative. with my son they didn't ask to "see" that I did they just asked if I did, but I'm a terrible liar

for me took me 6 days for my first BM i had a c section stayed at the hospital only 3 days stool softener didn't work .......but 2 spoons of olive oil was the best for me lol

@mili203, I've never heard of olive oil, but good to know!

@emily18234, they didn't ask to see mine either, if this is a repeat c-section it may happen sooner, with my first it took like 4 days this last time I had her Wednesday morning and Thursday after supper it happened

@sarahdrew, fingers crossed. it's due to the pain killers they give, and with my first I had no problem, but as silly as this sounds, my digestive tract seems to have gone into old person mode in 4 years so I have no idea 😯
