Does/has anyone had Mirena or is planning on getting it? And if so what are your thoughts on it!?…

I'm looking into getting it. I'm not sure though yet because I want more information about it!

I've heard alot of not so good things about it.

I have friends who have gotten it. never heard 1 good thing. one girl got pregnant on it and it almost killed her and my other friend has had nothing but complication, but had kept it for 3 years. she getting it taken out and it could cost her next to nothing or hundreds of dollars

I got it after my daughter and a few months later it had moved and poked holes

I had one as a teenager and I didn't take well to it I ended up with pelvic inflammatory disease

I had it. Got pregnant with my second set of twins because of it. It had. Migrated up my uterus. And failed to work properly. Beside being twins i was high risk because of that.

Everyone I know hated it and had issues with it but I had it and loved it 5 yrs with it in and no issues!! I mean a little cramping here and there but that is it! I absolutely loved it!!

I had it for 9 years. Did have any issues from it.

My dr said it would be the best one for me because I have heavy periods which is why I'm so anemic and low on iron and I won't bleed as much or any at that. So I need to do what's best for my health

I had it for 4 years. Had it taken out a year early so we could TTC. I loved it! I suck at taking pills, I hate needles, and the other options seemed sketchy (patch, ring). Only thing that made me not love it entirely is that if I sat or bent in a strange position I could sometimes feel it poking, and sometimes during sex. Dr told me that since I had irregular periods on it, that it could be 3-6 months before conceiving but we were pregnant within 2 months (: so all in all I loved it.
