@bekka1071, Since you gave birth already, call ur insurance carrier to see if they will cover 1. Then call either hospital or ur pediatric office for info.

@bekka1071, My chosen pediatrician told me to call my hospital and ask to speak to a lactation specialist or the l&d charge nurse for info to see if my insurance covered it. She gave it to me the day the lactation nurse came 2 visit after having baby (they could have given 1 earlier but she was.waiting.for.more to come in/ it's good to call ahead and make sure they'll have 1 for u when u leave hospital at the latest- she set it up to where insurance covered it and I was able to take it home w me n baby.

@bekka1071, I sware by my Madela electronic breast pump!! Insurance paid for it too! I got mastitis w both my older kids and it helped relieve pain. I went back 2 work w my 1st born @ 6 months and was able to pump for her. Bottle fed breast milk. After my 2nd I breastfed til age 2 and went back to school w him.Hardly used it only when I had overproduction, but it helped quickly and easily.

Asked my ob they sent in a referral and then the supplier for the pumps called me. If you already had your baby ( I was pregnant when I got my pump) maybe call your insurance and ask that way?😊

@brwneydgirly25, true lol.
@oliviasmama1211 how did you manage that? lol just ask your insurance for it or something?
AshleighМама дочки-младенца
It doesn't hurt me but everyone's different 😇 there's a speed option so you can choose fast or slow. Your insurance might provide you with a free one! I got a $400 medela pump in style for $35 from my insurance 😆

RebeccaМама сына-младенца
@oliviasmama1211, yeah, cause I have the manual one and in not getting too much milk and it does hurt, but o heard the electric one hurts more. is that true?

I had the medela pump in style advanced.. expensive, but it's what kept my daughter 100% breast milk while working full time till 2ish @bekka1071

Electric pump 😊 I heard the manual ones can be painful and exhausting. The medela nipple cream works good too. It helps the nippys feel better after feeding and pumping😊
RebeccaМама сына-младенца
@brwneydgirly25, okay. then ill look into getting one. which pump do you have?

Government Assistance and Breast Pump Is there any mommy's on here that used to be or is on Government Assistance? And knows if they cover breast pumps?
My stash!! I'm super pumped
Breast pump covered by insurance I've already done what I needed to find out what type of pump I get covered through insurance. It turns out, with my insurance, I can't even get my pump shipped to me until I call them with all the birth details of my baby. So...wth am I supposed to do having a baby and no pump?! I plan to pump exclusively and this REALLY throws a wrench in my plans.
