Please no bashing, but I am a FTM & my daughter is 2 weeks old...she's always hungry & don't seem to stay full long...I've had a few people tell me to add a very small amount of single grain rice cereal to her bottle...has anyone done this? Does it help?
We had to do cereal in the bottle for acid reflux and found out she was slightly allergic to rice. She gets spotchly when she has rice.
also at 2 weeks old babies eat a lot some go longer than others, while some only go an hour or so if that.
Every baby is different
their digestive system isn't ready for it that young. speak to your pediatrician
rice cereal has no benefits it's pretty much just empty calories. if she seems hungry give her more breastmilk or formula whichever one your doing :)
She could be going through a growth spurt as well. Being so young babies go through a lot of growth spurts. You should definitely talk to her dr before making this decision
I've heard it's not recommended unless you talk to a dr. but she could just be a cluster eater like my daughter was. was always eating but never huge amounts. that could just be how she is so even if you put cereal in her bottle doesn't always mean it'll help.
Yes I have! but I would still recommend u call your pediatrician and make sure they are okay with that!
cereal in your babies bottle is not a good idea, even if a doctor says it is, it's been proven to be a choking hazard. plus it's a solid and babies cannot have any solids at all until 6 months
