Hope this post doesn't offend anyone, but if there's one thing I'm thankful for it's the fact I waited until I was married to have a baby. So many of my friends have gotten pregnant with their boyfriends and ended up raising a baby alone. Marriage isn't always what it's supposed to be, but in my case I'm lucky enough to have a really supportive husband. We took our time and decided when we felt it was best. Now we are about to be blessed with a little girl. I can't imagine not being in contact with the father of my child or having that support.
I'm not trying to be critical, judgmental, or anything along those lines, but it sounds like you were meaning to say that you were glad you waited until you were in a committed, faithful, loving, strong, and happy relationship, as just being married doesn't always mean those things. I have seen so many people get married and after they have a child, things fall apart. Then on the other hand ones who aren't married are thriving. (Granted I've seen it the other way around as well.) I don't think it has to do with whether a couple is married or not as opposed to being more so about the components that create and maintain a strong relationship. My boyfriend and I have been together for three years and do everything a married couple does - just without the legality of it. Parenting has little to nothing to do with marriage & all we can hope for is that the parents will love, nurture, and be involved in their child's life. ❤️
Oh yes, I agree, it is harder. I feel really though it comes down to if its a mutual agreement to have a baby, people need to be more careful if they don't know if that man wants to be with them and/or have a baby. I think some people don't think it through. Yeah, we will get there ourselves, just worried more about getting a house and what we needed cause he feels he needs to give me 'the wedding of my dreams' lol. We were told we Couldn't have babies so we kinda just didn't take too much precaution, but now little man is here 5 years later! ☺️
Yeah I mean marriage doesn't mean much to some folks which is disheartening but it's a thousand times easier for a man to leave when he's not legally bonded lol my husband and I have our problems but we took a vow through thick and thin, sickness and health. My sister has been with her boyfriend for 7 years and she refuses to have kids with him until they are married and I think she's really smart for that. Of course, surprises happen and marriage isn't for everyone. But it was for us and I wouldn't trade it for anything! @shananaginsx
I had 3 kids with an ex bf and now I'm married with my first by my husband and it's definitely a big difference
I think everyone wishes to be, but not always in the cards! Also, married men can run too though unfortunately. I wish we were married, but we really are there just without the certificate.
Yeah I feel to each their own but I couldn't see doing this at 16-21 especially. It's hard for young boys to be men at that age. This is my first child at 36 and I'm married. I just thank God I'm happily married. I wouldn't want that stress at such a young age.
Well people take things how the want to but everyone's situations are different! I waited a long time to even have sex (21 years old), but I was also a full time college student so I wanted to be as safe as possible. I don't want to people to think im judging because my mom had me out of wedlock, and despite it being extremely hard she says it was the best thing that ever happened to her! @gcpaschal @brittlangdon22 @navywifej @mommytoaprince
It's a good thing people didn't take your post personal. They definitely took mine personal about the same subject.
You don't have to feel bad for expressing yourself. We're supposed to wait till marriage anyway so what y'all did was perfect! And this is coming from a woman that isn't married and has been with her SO on n off 5 years now. Congratulations on your baby girl ! 💜
I understand that I got pregnant with my bf at 16 and he left me when he found out but luckily my now husband took him in as his own and after getting married we had our 2 kids with a 4th on the way. it's much better being married
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Some people do think it's ideal, yes. But.. It's not always the best. I was married to someone, and thank god every day that we did not have children. (We're divorced now.). We weren't married for too long, and then the true colors came out, and all hell broke loose. We didn't marry quickly either, we were together for years. We grew up together. We were neighbors as children. Sounds fairy tale-like, but faaarrr from it. It took a while, but I started dating. And then one day, my boyfriend and I found out that we were expecting. And I couldn't be any happier. :)
