So my mom is supposed to be coming and staying with us for a week to help out with Emery, I'm fine with it, but Mommy A says I'm too overprotective, I don't like Emery not being in my sight and I worry all the time. I know I need sleep but its hard especially since I have separation anxiety from her. :( and my mom said that when she comes down her and Alex are going to take Emery for a couple hours. That's killing me just thinking of it!! :( She's only a week old today! :( IDK what to do... :(

say no.. your kid your rules. they had their moments being parents and now it's your turn to be a parent.. tell them no thanks.. @rainbow_mommys2122

if you aren't comfortable with them taking her out of the house for a couple hours let your mom know that you aren't ready for that. my SIL wanted to take my son at 3 weeks and I wasn't ready for him to leave me for a night she completely understood and came and picked me and my son up and let me sleep on her couch for a few hours while she watched him

I was the same exact way, I mean honestly my daughter's 2 and I still feel so guilty doing something without her. Just need to set up boundaries with your parents, let them know your not comfortable yet having her out of sight

my daughter is almost 6 months and I still won't leave her with anyone! I've never left her with daddy for more than 20 minutes either.... just my personal mommy preference though! remember, you're in charge

it's truly on you.. if you let your kid see who is taking charge then it won't benefit you in the long run. have her keep the baby in the house and not go anywhere.. just be separated in rooms so you can sleep.. @rainbow_mommys2122

I think it's totally normal not wanting her out of your sight this young. We didn't allow any visitors for about 2.5 weeks for that reason. Also doctors recommend they stay at home as much as possible at that age since they can't be vaccinated yet. Maybe they could just come and help around the house, make meals and stuff like that instead. Or they could help with the baby with you in the room

You can honestly tell her no, she's still to young for anyone to take her away from home.

i tell people no all the time to tons of things my mom most. never told her no to anything before but now that i have a child i have to. or else i wouldnt be exclusive breastfeeding (she says he needs food since he was month and a half she has tried to feed him and ive stopped her). so your the mom if you say no its no nothing she can do honestly.
