6 years ago today, at 5:59am I gave birth to a beautiful 5lb 1oz baby girl. I knew since the day I found out she was a girl that she would have a tough life. She was diagnosed with Hypoplastic Right Heart Syndrome also known as "half a heart." She survived 4 open heart surgeries and too many other surgeries and procedures to even count. She completed her very last open heart surgery at the age of 4. She was expected to live a long healthy life with the help of her doctors and medications. Until one day the doctor she depended on made a terrible mistake and sedated her while she was sick with what he told us "was just a cold" it turned out to be pneumonia and that was the end. The end of her life and the end of mine. Today instead of celebrating her 6th birthday with her in my lap, I Took a cupcake with a #6 candle on it for Hannah's birthday to her little grave. We sang her Happy Birthday and as soon as we sang the last word it blew out. That's not even the crazy part.....the crazy part is after like 45 seconds of us talking about it all excited IT LIT BACK! Full flamee! It was beautiful and I'm so thankful for that sign. It will definitely help ease the pain through today. Happy Birthday my beautiful baby.
