#laborstory we arrived at the hospital at 6am. Water was broken and pitocin was started at 7am. Contractions started immediately so I caved and asked for the epidural. I got it around 9:30am. That thing is AMAZING!!! After that, they had to stop the pitocin because baby boys heart rate kept dropping and he couldn't catch his breath. Finally he caught back up so we started pitocin again. At 3pm I was only 5-6 cn. My doctor came in to check on me at 4pm and said "you're fully dilated. Let's push!" I was extremely shocked that I dilated 4-5cm within an hour. So we got everyone in the room and started pushing. After about 45 minutes the doctor came back and he showed me a better way to push and Carson basically fell out once he was past the pelvic bone. I couldn't stop it lol. He came out with his cord wrapped around his neck twice, purple, and he was gargling fluid. If we had waited another week, there's no telling if we would have a baby or not. I'm so thankful God took care of my little guy. I do no regret being induced one bit. Total labor was 10 hours and 15 minutes 💙💙💙
Thanks everyone! No it didn't hurt at all. My epidural had wore off mostly. I could feel everything that was going on down there. It was like I was pooping and then when he actually came out, I felt him tear but it wasn't too bad @haley_henson
This is when I finally got to hold him after they had spent so much time working on getting him to warm up and to react how they needed. I had just realized how dangerous the delivery was
