Exactly! I agree with @giosmommy16. My son is not because his dad is not, I just thought it would be easier for my son that way. He's now 6 and it hasn't been a problem yet.

If his dad is I would. I didn't circumcise my son because his dad isn't. Daddy will be able to explain how to use the potty better then us mom's only because they have the same parts!

at the end of the day , the extra skin is there for a reason. they are born perfect. why change it? once they come to an age of understanding, you guide them in their personal higiene.

My baby daddy and i discussed this when i first found out i was pregnant and decided not to. He isnt and has never had a problem. Its more sensitive for him, which as he said makes it better for him he thinks. Idk i cant feel the difference nor do i care how it looks. Really god created the male body that way for a reason. I just think its pointless so we decided not to. There is no right or wrong though so dont feel bad for whatever decision you come to. Its all personal preference.

both of my boys aren't and this baby won't... its cosmetic that's what all the doctors I have ever asked told me and were the only country who does it... I've heard so many say its dirty and they can smell but if you smell your obviously not cleaning yourself right. i was told at 3 you should start cleaning it and showing them. my 11 year old has never had a problem and my husband has never smelled in his life sorry if TMI

my son isn't circumcised i dont believe its necessary and most insurances don't actually cover the procedure and you don't pull the foreskin back until they hit puberty is

this is going to sound weird but I know that my dad wasn't circumcised when he was younger and after he was remarried my stepmother would get UTI's a lot so he got circumcised in his 40's which is a lot more painful. my husband was circumcised and he wants to get our son circumcised as well. for hygiene purposes I think it's a good idea but if it's not something you want to do that is definitely your choice.

yea understandable.. but they do it so quick the baby doesnt remember and the healing process was super fast. and it beats changing your mind and having it doen when they are older and actually feel and remember the pain.. good luck @twinmommy123

Well it's ultimately your decision, don't let anyone talk you in or out of your own decision. And talk to the dr about it too!

@izzysmommy1003, see I am kinda feeling it is unneccessary too. But that is why I came here to ask and see othe people's opinions. I hope some mamas who have soms that arent circumcised will comment and tell me pros and/or cons!

@twinscomingsoon, see to me the whole to look like their dad isnt a good reason to me. I hate having to make such big/hard choices for someone else! I wanted a boy and girl when I was prego with my twins too(I have always wanted a son) but I got two girls, I woulfnt have it any other way. and now I am getting my boy 😊

At first I wanted to get my son circumcised but after thinking it out, it's unnecessary pain for them, as long as you clean them right and teach them how to wash the right way when they get older they don't need to get it. But it's all your choice

@twinmommy123, my dad had my brother circumcised because he wanted his son to look like him. We had a family conversation about it lol. Thank you I'm so excited! My husband wanted one of each but we are happy with our girls. Can't wait to dress them up and do all kinds of fun girl stuff with them.

@mama_uhv_4, I have heard that too. Definitely why I am trying to get lots of insight! It is just hard for me to make such a big choice on such a little body. Even with my daughters, I am not having their ears pierced or anything until they are old enough to tell me they want it done. But that is just me! I wanna make sure I have lots of info and am confident in our choice!

My nephews aren't circumcised because their dad's aren't but if I had a boy I would circumcise him. Just because it's easier to clean and you wouldn't have to teach him to pull the skin back and clean it properly. I know I didn't like having to teach my nephews to clean themselves properly down there they would fight me until I told them if they didn't they would get it infected and it's will hurt and doctors will give them shots. Just something to scare them so they cleaned themselves. My husband says if we had a boy he would want to circumcise him. Because he is and wouldn't want to worry about teaching him to clean it properly. Plus my husband says girls like it circumcised more than it not being circumcised. I know I prefer it that way but every girl is different.

no it was just personal preference for me and its easier cleaning wise not as much work and you dont to worry about infections and etc etc

I have been with someone in the past who wasnt circumcised and it never bothered me... I never really even noticed. And I am not really worried about how it looks. lol. My fiance says he wants him to get it done but his only reason is because he is and I don't think that is a good enough reason.

When we were told we were expecting a son I told my husband it was his choice. Being a female I know nothing about it and even with all the research I felt like it would be more appropriate for my husband to make the decision. Now that we are expecting two girls we don't need to worry about it but it would have been his choice. That's just how I saw it.

I'm interested in this one too, I'm having my first baby, a boy. And we're not sure what to do, boyfriends uncircumcised but he's saying it kind of came with a stigma, like some girls thought it wasn't appealing. Also as a young kid (barely learning to shower himself) it he got some sort of infection from not cleaning it carefully cause apparently it takes more effort to clean, but then I hear there is benefits to leaving it uncircumcised. We aren't sure either.

my son is... it was easier to deal with and clean and no problems.... and to be honest just looks weird not circumcised
