I was trying to figure this out for my son too. I have hazel/green eyes & my fiancé has brown eyes. My mother, father, & brother all have dark brown eyes. My fiancé biological dad has green/gray eyes and his mom has brown. For me, the light colored eyes (green, gray, blue, hazel) come EVERY GENERATION & at least 2/3 people get them. Multiple people in his family have the light eyes too, I just don't know if it's every generation like it is for me. --- but the gene is DEFINITELY on both sides... So does that increase the chance of him having light colored eyes?

My son will be mixed, his father eye hazel w/ green rim or blue && mines brown or hazel but my sister daughter recently came out with sandy red hair && blue eyes, now they green or brown w/ blue rim and her father eye are dark brown && my sister is brown. It depends on what genes she get. Our grandma had dark blue eyes. I was born with sandy red/brown hair && hazel eyes, I have little cousin with sandy brown hair && her eye straight green.
