Weirdest food we eat as a foreigner that many country's don't understand ...

@mrsmoore, don't be freaked out .. Lol it's traditional middle eastern or central Asian food . Lamb head and lamb intestine filled with rice , meat , herbs ..

my husband is Armenian! that looks delicious!

I knew that had to be a head what do you stuff it with sounds good but Idk if I could try the intestines but im usually open to try different stuff haha maybe my bf would he eats chitterlings lol,but the food you post always does looks good

I live in California, and I have to say, most Mediterranean food places around here suck. so not authentic at all. there's one place 3 hours away that we stock up on when we go there. they're cracker bread is legit!!

@mrsmoore, Intestines usually washed in soaked in lemon water to kill all the bacteria , then u stuff with rice and ground meat , some herbs and chick peas ... It can look weird but taste is good ... For many Americans it looks weird but if u grow up eating all kind of food that's normal . I hope Vegans doesn't attack me .. Lol

@kattastrophe, oh I see ... Chicago has the best authentic restaurants ever ... That's the only reason I hate to leave Chi Town .

maybe one day I'd taste it but there's not may authentic restaurants around me except Mexican foods haha

I need to go back there again! my last trip there, I was with people who never would have given this a chance! you can't even buy any part of a goat in cali unless you go to a specialty butcher

I never tried lamb until I turned 17 because my parents didn't like it, now it's a favorite. I always look forward to dinners with the inlaws, or when my husband cooks something he grew up with.

@mrsmoore, The restaurant name call Fattoush ... But u have to order this food one day before and it's call Kovatha.

@kattastrophe, I grow up eating only lamb but when I came to USA ... The lamb taste was different then my country . It was stinking and I almost threw up .. Till I found a Persian or middle eastern butcher that sell lamb .. They bring the lamb from Austria and has a same taste like my country . I can't eat American lamb it has weird smell .. Armenian food pretty similar like middle eastern or Central Asian ... 👍🏻

we have a place called fattoush here, but they don't do a great job at all, my husband rants about it haha. it's ran by someone from mexico. there's one called the mad Greek that was pretty good, but that's close to Las Vegas... we get our lamb grass-fed from new Zealand(:

@kattastrophe, Ahahaha lol ... If your husband is Armenian for sure he knows about middle eastern food pretty good . Don't u guys have any Armenian restaurants around your area .. I love grass fed meat , it's much tastier :)

not a lot of good restaurants around here unless we travel a couple of hours, so we end up making our own. homemade is better anyways (:
