I'll be 16 weeks tomorrow. FTM. Is it too early to start buying everything I need for the baby? I already know the gender (Boy). And if it's okay to do it this early, what are some things all of you bought? I know the absolute necessary stuff but just want more ideas on what to get.

girl no i started at 6 weeks have fun and get what you need dont wait for the baby shower just let everyone know what you've gotten and if you get 2 of something that's even better

I'm also a first time mom, and we've had both our showers.. I would recommend going ahead and stocking up on baby shampoo, body wash, lotion.. We didn't get any of that stuff. You could also buy things for yourself.. Gowns for the hospital, nursing bras if you're breast feeding, granny panties lol. Those are all things we have to get still!

better to start getting it all now versus when it's too late! soon as we found out we were having a boy we started buying everything we needed

I started buying stuff after we found out the gender. I went to once upon a child and got a ton of clothes for him, I mostly started stocking up on random little things though like pacifiers, socks, hats & books. It would be a good time to work on your registry!
