Since I started pumping and feeding my son breastmilk in a bottle I've noticed he's eating more and peeing/pooping a good amount more which I was concerned about before when I was just feeding him straight from my boob.
He latches on just fine but doesn't eat enough from my breasts, which doesn't disappoint me too much because I do have a good breast pump and time to pump and such, and he still nurses for a little bit and for comfort here and there.
I'm just worried to hear my mother in law get upset about having him do both because "it'll comfuse him". She's a great woman and only means well so of course I try to hear her out but she acts like I'm cutting my baby's leg off or something. She's constantly asking me to get in touch with the Le Leche League in my area so they can show me how to breastfeed successfully, it's nice of her but I have to do what I feel is comfortable and best for me and my son. He's still getting only breastmilk so I'm not sure why it's so bad of me to feed it to him in a bottle 😯😕

i totally understand I've been doing both putting him on the boobs and pumping i usually pump more and give it to him in a bottle because every time i breastfeed he falls asleep and won't pee or poop good so that means he's not getting enough, with the bottle i give him 2-3 oz and he drinks it even while sleeping that puts my mind at ease knowing he's eating good and also he poops and pees like 8-9 times a day when i give him the bottle. i still breastfeed though for comfort maybe like 4-5 times a day the most he stays on boob is like 7-10mins. he's not confused he knows the difference your baby will also the most important thing is that you're pumping and he still get some of the golden milk 😊 don't worry and don't listen to what other people have to say you know & doing what's best for your child.

@lovelycin09 thank you, it seems we're in the same boat! i also noticed my son can burps and toots more after drinking the bottle, when its only breast he gets super stopped up and screams because we can't get him to burp no matter what. and i was using gripe water to help but it was to the point where i was using it too much. even though it's a natural organic gripe water i still felt bad.

yesss same thing happened to my baby i gave him gripe water also and seemed to help a little but since ive been giving him the bottle he burps more and has less gas and less pain 😀
