I work in a day care, while I've been pregnant I've gotten sick multiple times. (Strep, and bronchitis) obviously I don't want to get the kids sick so I call out for a day. My manager wants to have a meeting with me tomorrow when I go back in to talk about me missing work... Wtf am I supposed to tell her? I get its bad to miss work but why would they want me there when I'm coughing up a lung?! I know if the parents saw me they would be upset I was around their kid! It's not like I can take anything to prevent getting sick... I wish they would understand!

I would point out that any parent who had seen you might have started a lawsuit against the daycare for you working while you were that sick! !
just remember if they threaten to fire you you have the law on your side and you'll get unemployment which they will have to pay for. I had to take my son to the hospital and my company wrote me up for missing work. I got really mad and told them if they fired me they would have to pay unemployment because the law protects me! !
Honestly it's probably work thats making you sick anyways from all the germs lol

I'm sooo scared of this hurricane. My husband is in wyoming working so it's just me and my 2 kids. They're saying it's going to be a category 4 when it lands and I'm just scared. He's been telling me to calm down the last 2 days I've mentioned it and he just text me and said "I'm really worried about this storm" I want to pack my stuff and drive to wyoming right now...it's a 17 hour drive. But then I'm afraid I'd be stuck and wouldn't be able to get home bc of flooding and I don'...

I have an opportunity to go to Germany next month for work. I am trying to convince my husband to take time off work and come with me, along with our three kids. I would have to work one week, Mon-Fri, but I was thinking we could go the Friday before, site see on Saturday and Sunday, he can do whatever with the kids the week I work, and then we could stay until the following Wednesday - so I could have another 4 days to site-see with the family. Because that week is Memorial Day...
Ladies, I'm so freaking excited and happy right now that I am UGLY crying at work !! My doctor just called me because he got my blood results back, baby is good and I'm having A BOYYYY!!! I cant believe after all I've been through I finally get my boy !!! Thank you Jesus !!! I want to surprise Tim, any ideas of how I can surprise him for when he gets home from work tonight ??? Am I wrong to be upset? Last night I was running a fever, weak, tired, sore, my left boob feels like it got used as a punching bag. I asked my husband to call out of work today to help me with the kid so I could get some rest. He went to work. I texted him this morning. Part of me thinks I mean. The other part of me thinks I was fine for saying that because he should've stayed home with us.
@islanddreamer07, even if I've only been there for about a month and a half? And that's what I've told them before, that I don't want the parents getting upset Bc I'm sick. And they agreed, which is why I would think they would understand! Two of the children's parents are even lawyers!!!!
