Every woman I know is tired if being pregnant by the last few weeks! but it's just something we have to deal with. why would anyone risk the health of their baby just because they're uncomfortable!?

shit... I was trying to induce myself at 36 weeks.. I have a joint disorder which makes my hips dislocate and my spine is very curvy.. my doctors refuse to induce me even though I'm constantly crying because of the pain. 37 weeks is full term so at that point is is 100% safe to have a baby. I'd say anything before 36 weeks is pushing it for your baby's health

38 weeks is full term, you shouldn't even WANT your baby to come before then. Your comfort isn't as important as that poor baby's health.

For example, my son was born at 29 weeks, this was him around 33 weeks gestational age. He was very lucky to be off oxygen by then, but he was obviously still tiny and needed to continue being in the nicu to have him grow. Having a baby early is NOT fun. Looking at your baby who is stuck in a glass box, hooked up to wires and machines to make sure they're breathing and their heart is beating properly, having them be fed through a tube, having to ask for assistance to hold your baby, not being able to take them home instantly is f**king heartbreaking. Trying to induce labor can be harmful to mom and could be devastating for baby. I tell people, just because my son was born at 29 weeks and came it okay doesn't mean every preemie is ok. I've read about 36 weekers needing to be in the nicu months after their due date. My full term baby needed oxygen when he was born... There are no guarantees for babies born at any time. Why would anyone risk it?

you should let your baby choose its birth date :)

As a preemie mom I tend to get kinda mean about people wanting to naturally induce labor for selfish reasons before being term. I don't mean to be a bitch about it, but I believe a baby should come when they're ready, unless of course it's medically necessary to have them early.

Never. Even at 40 weeks they can come out needing assistance. 37 weeks is just when you're considered "early term". Just hold tight and that baby will come out when they're ready. 💋

37 weeks is when everything should be properly developed, otherwise she'd be looking at steroid shots to get the lungs developed. she's got a bit. haha
