so my sister (who has never been pregnant) decided to give me a whole bunch of crap about drinking a cup of coffee this morning. She saw me taking a sip and was like "are you drinking coffee? You're not allowed to have that." I told her that yes, I can have caffeine as long as I limit it to 200mg per day or less, or a 12oz cup of coffee (mine was not that big, not even close). So she still doesn't believe me, I would like you, actual pregnant women, to comment. Are we allowed to have caffeine?
Thank you all, I'm just so annoyed right now! She's here visiting from North Carolina to take my maternity photos for me and literally everything I've eaten or drank she's said "are you supposed to have that?!" Or "I KNOW you're not allowed to drink that!" She has never been pregnant so I told her that "I think I know a little bit more about being pregnant than you do" and she snapped back saying oh yeah you know everything about everything. Am I just being an emotional wreck or do I have a reason to be upset
Yes we can, I can't go without it and I know to stay within my limit.
I'm not pregnant but I have been and yes you're absolutely right on how much caffeine you're allowed to have :)
My doctor is just fine with me having 1 or 2 cups a day :)
Caffeine
Is anyone still drinking their daily cup of coffee and/or pop or caffeine beverage?
I used to work at Mcdonalds and a couple of people I know work there.... well this is my second day in a row getting and iced coffee and they were like you need to stop drinking coffee. I've never met a pregnant person that drinks coffee... I was like I looked to see how much caffeine it has and how much I'm aloud to drink this size is ok. Does anybody else drink coffee?? They just made me feel like a terrible mother for drinking iced coffee while pregnant
I just absolutely love some women on here! Some woman wants to write on another women's post telling her she shouldn't be having sex at all in the beginning of pregnancy. I didn't know she was her doctor. Then she wants to tell me that the first trimester is only 1-9 weeks pregnant. And she lost her baby at 4 weeks pregnant due to sex. Like sweetie that's your period starting!
If you eat fast food and drink soda, don't tell me I'm only allowed to have 200 mg of caffeine per day....
Missin drinkin some Starbucks frappe. #mocha frapp is my fav:/ they say I can't have caffeine so I haven't had caffeine in a long while. Do any of you pregnant ladies drink coffe?
Your fine.... you do probably gave you a list of do's and donts as far as food. with first pregnancy I cut my coffee to one a week this time I have a least a cup a day.
