Is it bad to go out of town when your about 34 weeks??

Depends on how far. I wouldn't go too far away from home. Like 3-4 hours max. @leslierojas

It's because my family in Corpus Christi wants to make me a baby shower but the date they have it is when I'm about 34 weeks and it's 6 hours away from home 😒 @candacelouise

Oh yeah, that's where I live! Well maybe just play it by ear. If at that weeks check up you're not showing any signs of delivery than it should be ok! But I would ask your doctor. Cause it can be a 6-8 hour drive depending on traffic. I've made it lot of times! @leslierojas

I would check with your doctor first to make sure it's ok for you to travel. If you do just make sure you stop to stretch your legs so you don't get blood clots. And drink a lot of water.

I'm going back to Virginia when I'm 34 weeks for my baby shower. It's also a 6 hour drive. Everything looked fine at my appointment today so I still plan to go.

To be honest @leslierojas I am traveling from Colorado Springs to Phoenix at 36 almost 37 weeks pregnant in May. My doctor said he wouldn't clear me for the 12 hour drive but he said if I must go, I can fly

I've been at my moms house (6hrs away) for a week now. I'll be 34 weeks once I go back home. I'm worried as heck but have been good so far!!

@leslierojas, I was just going to go. But I'm going to call tomorrow I guess. My husband drives the entire way. I've done it twice now but not this far along yet.

Well you should have an appt closer to the trip that I would ask. Cause she will probably start checking you then. But just remember you'll probably be a lot more uncomfortable at that point to sit in the car for so long. Not to be negative, just keep that in mind cause that's a good 7 weeks from now. But hopefully you'll be good to make it! @leslierojas

I've traveled from California to Texas at 26 weeks. My doctor said i was fine but I know some doctors don't want people to travel in the last 2 months or last month of pregnancy
