Any of you Mamas that have been induced get Cervidil? What was your experience? Did it help your cervix? I never heard of it. I'm going in Thursday morning to be induced and my doc said she's going to place cervidil in for 12 hours before the pitocin starts.. I'm nervous have no clue what to expect! 😳

Thank you! Yeah I hope I've been at 1cm for 2 weeks . My doc said they will start the pitocin after 12 hours and hopefully the cervidil will help. @oliviasmama1211

I had it. It helped a little bit. I got it from 6am-6pm I wasn't dilated at all when I went in. The nurse said I needed another insert because I wasn't making any progress but everyone's different so it might help you way more than it did for me 😊❤️

i was already dilated to a 2 and had it in for 8 hours and it didn't do anything for me.

They gave that to me for 3 days and my cervix only opened to 2 cm

It just helps the cervix thin and dilate. It helped me go from 3 to 4-5 overnight. For me it just started pretty mild contractions. The pitocin is when the bad ones start.
