you should be able to sign up for disability. I'm not sure of the whole process but two people I've known weren't offered paid maternity leave either and thats what they did.

I think its mostly for the time you take off after having the baby because most doctors refuse to let you work for a few months. My mother and a close friend were both approved for it..like I said I'm not sure about how to go about it..my husband works so I don't have to worry D: @yahuahsdaughter

You can get disability I jus signed up for it because I don't get paid maternity thru my job I believe it's 6 weeks paid and then family leave act will send u papers after disability is done for another 12 weeks with six paid in California

I got the papers thru my doctor u fill out half and the doctor fills out half and they send it in for u
