As far as I know it means you might bleed a lot while pregnant. But your baby will be okay most likely. From what I've seen most women who have that end up having it heal on its own and the bleeding stops.

Well don't research it or you'll drive yourself nuts!! Lol. Web md is terrible, makes every situation worse.

Honestly I had one and it ended in a miscarriage but I was also 6 weeks only but I know it can heal on its own. I hope everything turns out for you Hun

I had it and I loss her at 16 weeks, they told me the same thing. But there are some women's that has had a successful pregnancy.

Oh I know, it's so hard to not do. I do it all the time, then I drive myself crazy thinking stuff. lol.

Don't freak out! I had one and it healed so well by the next time the doctors saw me 2 weeks later that they couldn't find it anymore.

@rgaine, yay someone else that had one! how'd you find out you had one?

Side note: mine was at 11 1/2 weeks and started with a toilet full of blood while on a roadtrip.

@rgaine, yours must have been larger? Mine isn't even bloody at all it's all brown spotting.

I think it wasn't small but not huge. Apparently It's not super uncommon so don't worry!

I found out at 8 weeks and it got a little bigger at 14, but I found out at my 18 check up she had no heart beat, but when they induce me to have her, she has been sleep (dead) for 2 weeks she had pass at 16 weeks.

I had this at the beginning of my pregnancy too and was completely freaked out. My ob told me mine was bigger than normal so he put me on bed rest for 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, it wasn't actively bleeding and was being to shrink so he had no concerns. However, he did say that when I deliver, I may see the blood clot. My pregnancy has not been easy and this was the first major scare for us.

@tabathaeckendorf, good news! He only has me off work 48 hours and o don't want to over due it but I'm going to see my OB tomorrow and hopefully I'll get more answers. Did this make your pregnancy high risk?

No I never became high risk since it kept shrinking.
