How do you guys feel about bumper pads in cribs? Yay or nay? My mother in law bought us the whole crib set I wanted and now I feel like I want to take back the bumper set which came separately after reading about them being a hazard.
I need help ladies... I don't feel my sons crib is safe anymore... he's moving a lot... he's pulling bumpers, sticking his legs and feet over the bumpers and through the bars(he would do that bumper or no bumper so i don't want to hear how they're unsafe) ... rolling a lot and on his tummy a lot... but I don't want him sleeping with me every night...
What do you guys think about crib bumpers? With my crib set it did not come with one, at first I didn't want one b.c of all the stories I read online. But I saw some many other cribs with the bumpers and I feel it makes it look complete

Okayy moms , so how does some of you feel about the crib bumpers ? I used them on my sons crib back then & he slept fine . & I keep reading that they suggest not using them cuz of the higher risk of SIDS. It scares me but also I personally like the bumpers so I'm a little undecided if I wanna use one for when we get Aidens crib set .

I got the breathable bumper from Walmart for 32 dollars. :)

I think they are necessary, my child's leg got caught a few times because I never got any. If you're super worried about it, I'd say get the mesh ones, but I don't think it's a big deal. You can leave all the other parts of the crib set there, and just change the bumpers.

I had them with my daughter, didn't with my son and he's always getting his fat little legs stuck in the slats, so this baby will definitely have crib bumpers.

They're still a little padded, so I'm not worried about head bumps, they prevent stuck arms and legs in crib bars, and they are breathable if baby did happen to roll over face first into them. The one I have I order on Amazon for $30 or so. They sell them at Wal-Mart and stuff as well, but I wanted the cute grey trellis pattern.

I think it's your personal choice momma! if you've researched it and you don't feel comfortable, don't use it. They sell mesh ones, if you do think of returning it and want one that is a little a safer. Thats what I have installed in my sons.

like, the crib liner tied to the inside of the crib? I was thinking I should have gotten one but decided the set I got is cute and I don't really need it.. is it really a hazard @babyrhea16 ?

If you do take them back they have breathable bumpers now I got some from target
