I am desperate for some help ladies!!! Please!!! My daughter is almost 6 weeks old and has only been breastfed. But I have to get her on only formula because I have kidney disease and they have to start me on strong medications. I bought her slow flow anti colic Tommie tippie bottles and Similac formula. But she doesn't really understand what the bottle is for. She chokes on it and spits out the formula. I finally got her to take one once twice but then she threw it all up!!! I am so frustrated right now. She cries when I try to give her a bottle too. Any advice would be great. Thanks!!!
I use mams. The pacifier brand... Works great on my daughter
I use Adiri bottles. they're soft and shaped just like a breast and the air flow is on the bottom so there's no air going through the milk. I would get your baby used to taking breast milk through a bottle first then slowly graduate to formula. Cause you're going from boob and mommas milk straight to a strange bottle and strange tasting stuff that comes out so fast she downy know how to take it
and as for avent natural nipples they are the worst for us. they are so hard. we hate them
I have a ebf baby and the best nipple we have found after trying almost every bottle on the market is lansinoh Momma bottles with natural wave nipples. not as much gagging and after a few minutes he gets the hang of it. good luck
Yeah like @rileysmommy2016 said Avent has the natural nipples those are the ones that act like a nipple. the classic nipples are not as good
Right I totally forgot about avent ! Yes try that one next !
Thanks moms!!! I think I will try Avent next. @rileysmommy2016 @noahbearsmommie @twinmamma2015
Try avent they have the nipples that are act as a boob nipple
ok yeah zero is best, I know Dr. Browns and Avent work really well, and they have to work really hard with those nipples to get their bottle which is what she is used to doing when she nurses. Sometimes it is just as simple as changing the bottle brand. I went thru 6 different types of bottles with one of my boys.
I have Tommie tipped too but my sister uses it on my niece and she really doesn't like it. So I recommend the other two.
She is using zero month size nipple. @twinmamma2015
I would try you leaving the room while she's hungry and try having someone else feed her because she's used to the boob haha
I just absolutely love some women on here! Some woman wants to write on another women's post telling her she shouldn't be having sex at all in the beginning of pregnancy. I didn't know she was her doctor. Then she wants to tell me that the first trimester is only 1-9 weeks pregnant. And she lost her baby at 4 weeks pregnant due to sex. Like sweetie that's your period starting!
Hello I am knew here. Im looking to make some new friends on here. My sister told me about her experience and meeting a new friend whom she feels like she has known forever. I am married and I work from home. I am also a college student. I have two boys and they are the best.

I feed Paola about 3 bottles of formula a day, a couple spoonfuls of Gerber for breakfast/dinner and every once in a while 2 ounces of apple juice. Every time I give her formula I burp her and it never fails she ALWAYS throws up. Every bottle of formula is 6 ounces and she's 6 months. Am I giving her too much?? And thats why he keeps throwing up??
Am I the only one who gets super fucking annoyed seeing certain people comment on shit? Like I'm so thankful she blocked me because she drives me up a wall. 😣😣 Why hasn't Shaneen32 been banned like her last account was! Lmfao
@babyvicky2016, she will adjust eventually. My daughter got strangled every feeding for like a week when we switched to bottles but I love avent naturals
