Does anybody have a good list of everything you need before baby is born or a link to any websites?? Our little one has nothing but clothes so far and with 11 weeks left I think we'd better get a move on.
We had a list of the usual things when DD was born - nappies wipes clothes bottles etc. But this time around and to any new mums I would advise also buying formula regardless if you want to try to BF just Incase and you don't get caught short. If your planning formula feed then get a tub of hungry milk in just Incase. I would also buy a thermometer and infacol. Lots of babies suffer with colic and I wish we had some in the cupboard from the start when she was a newborn as we needed it almost straight away. I would also buy variflo teats as DD kept collapsing hers as she was guzzling so much. It also helps if using comfort milk at any point as it's much thicker and doesn't come out of size 1 teats. A swaddled blanket for self soothing was a saviour for us and a "scarf" sling!! This is a must from day 1 for skin to skin and kangaroo care which most hospitals advocate now. It also makes life easier when trying to potter around and sooth the baby! Hope some of this comes in handy xx
My girl is 5 weeks old :) and I haven't needed much for her to be honest xD She out grew 0-3 month clothes when she was 3-4 weeks old...and also grew out of size 1 nappies in that time :) so really glad I only bought a few packets :) That is why I didn't go over the top with buying clothes...I bought white stuff as I was Team Yellow xD Um...baby bath/bath support xx
Changing mat, moses basket or crib :) I co sleep with my girl xD Um...bottles? pump and steriliser? I have lots of blankets xD Muslins? I don't have muslins xD
Cotton wool, nappies, nappy sacks :) They mostly just need a lot of nappies and changes of clothes xD I just use cotton wool and water on my daughter :) unless we are out..then I use wipes xD I bought a little play mat for her and a thing to go on her carseat :) breast pads if you are breast feeding/maternity bra xx
