Are there any Moms with pierced nipples and if so were you able to breastfeed with them being pierced? After I had my daughter I just assumed I wasn't going to have anymore children cause at that time her father and I were divorced. So I got them pierced cause my nipples used to be out but after breastfeeding my daughter my outties turned into innies. BUT Now that we are remarried and baby #2 is on his way I've still only considered breastfeeding like I did with my daughter. Until recently started being concerned that I won't be able to breastfeed cause when I was pregnant with my first daughter I was lactating at 20 weeks but this pregnancy I'm not lactating at all and I'm scared that I messed up any of my chances of breastfeeding? Am I just overreacting or not?

Plenty of mommas breastfeed with nipple piercings (the rings removed of course) I just went to a breastfeeding class & asked bc I have mine done & the lactation consultant said there should be any problem!

She said that if anything, milk will probably come out thru the holes of your piercings, I've had mine for a year & some change - no problems, & I've started taking them out here & there for a while to see how they stay open & if anything comes out lol etc. I'm a ftm & nothing yet for me, but yeah!! No problem!!

See that's what I've heard to that it should just come out of the holes but I'm just expecting to be leaking already and I'm still dry.

every pregnancy is different. my sister was the same way baby #2 she didn't lactate till after he was born.
