Induction is absolutely not necessarily faster. At all. For a lot of women it takes a long time bc you're forcing your body to do what it technically wasn't ready for..
@mommy2b2016, I was actually convinced to take it by my nurse bc I kept refusing it when it was offered to me . but she saw me in tears and was like "honey just take it, it'll do you so good" and it sure did. But yes whenever you want. they asked my constantly if I wanted it as soon as they saw my contractions were getting closer.
I was induced with my son. it took quite some time. i was there at 6am bc of bleeding on the day my induction was scheduled. my induction started at 5pm with the pill in my vagina to soften my cervix. I woke up the next morning only dilating 3cm. at 9am they broke my water. that's when the contractions got stronger, by 4pm I asked for an epidural and I felt amazing afterwards and by 6pm I was pushing and at 6:52 my son was born :)
@mommy2b2016, my first was my daughter. I was 19, she was induced two weeks early because of low fluid. It took about three days to get her to come with the pitocin. I tore a little bit but I had no complications.
I was induced with my first born. No major issues, but I'm not gunna lie, I preferred my emergency c section. The majority of the induction process was waiting for things to happen.
I was induced with both of mine (personal choice) and I will continue doing so with each pregnancy. I dilated very quickly so by the time I got epidural I was between 8 and 9 cm dilated and with both I only pushed for 5 minutes tops about 5 pushes and my girls were here
when I was induced they checked me in the hospital put the iv in then put this pill up there to start labor. seriously the contractions are worse than going into labor naturally. I was having contractions every minute. decided to get the epidural at around 6 cm. after that they broke my water then I was still only 8 cm. my daughter heart rate started going down I freaked out and couldn't breathe so they did an emergency c section. from the time I checked in until I had her was about 16 hours.
