How many games should I have at my baby shower? I want there to be more games and conversation and eating then presents. My baby shower is from 2-6pm. I get really bad anxiety attacks even thinking about having to sit in front of everyone and open gifts.

So idk if I’m an asshole for thinking this but a girl I used to go to school with is having her 3rd kid and she’s planning a baby shower and she had one with her other two. I feel like a baby shower is something you do with ur first pregnancy. I live far from my family so I didn’t have one but i did have a baby registry and I’m not even doing that with this pregnancy. Idk I just feel like 3 baby showers is a lot! Especially when she gets things handed to her. Idk maybe I’m an ass for thinking that

I hate opening gifts in front of people.. Im wondering if it would be rude to just take em home at the end of the night and open them at home. Ive asked people what they think and some actually said they find it really boring to sit around and watch someone open their gifts so im torn as to what to do...

@babywhale, Me and my mom talked about it and she suffers from anxiety as well so she knows how bad the attacks can be and we think we have found something that works. We plan on Have everyone open their own gift and them stand beside it david and I will go around and look at everything, thank them, and get a picture with them. Then we are gonna go to Walmart print the picture out and send it to them with a thank you card. Maybe you could do that as well??

My aunt had like 30 games at hers but she also had almost 300 ppl at her baby shower. My best friend had 6 games. it is all up to how many you want

I dnt really like that idea. Sometimes people come empty handed just due to circumstances and i would hate to make anyone feel uncomfortable if they didnt have a gift to open and stand by. Just my thoughts..

@babywhale, I put that into consideration as well. No matter what I'm gonna go around and get pictures with everyone but I feel some people would feel upset if I asked to take it home because a lot of people wanna see your reaction. idk I guess I'll have to suck it up and do it in front of everyone I mean grant it I'm thankful for everything I get and will get and don't want then to not feel like I'm thankful
