I have a girl on my Facebook who had a baby a little over a week ago and all she does all day is complain on Facebook about how hard it is and how she doesn't get any rest and how she hates breast feeding and wants to switch to formula and how she hates having to take the baby to the doctor because it's such a hassle.. She hasn't even posted anything happy about the baby and it kinda makes me angry.

just hearing about that makes me angry I would probably say something if that was on my fb

She's asking for sympathy from everyone like she's the only women who has ever had a baby... You don't get sympathy for having a baby that's supposed to be a happy time.. You get congratulations... Everybody has babies and goes through the same thing nobody said it was going to be easy and maybe she should have thought about that before she had this PLANNED PREGNANCY

Did she think it was going to be sunshine and roses with a newborn ? She's needs to shut up and take responsibility

Having a new baby is OVERWHELMING. I felt all of those things and cried for the first two months straight. Sounds like she might be experiencing postpartum depression like I did. The difference is I never reached out for help so I was very close to taking my own life. She needs support, not judgment.

Thank you!! I'm all for venting and asking for help but she seriously wants people to feel bad for her like she just had a life saving surgery not a baby @avayasmommy

Yeah that's really ridiculous. I completely understand being stressed from time to time but you're supposed to talk to your SO, close friend or a family member not to all of your fb friends. she sounds like she shouldn't even have kids which is sad because there is a lot of great women who would love to be going through what she's going through and can't

Postpartum depression is a real thing. Let's all remember that. Thank you.

everyone gets stressed out when they first have a baby, heck it's not any easier with the second if you have a toddler lol she should have thought about it before planning to have the baby... next time you see it, comment in all caps "WELCOME TO MOTHERHOOD" and leave it at that

This right here is why I never reached out for help. People are so JUDGMENTAL and rude rather than supportive.

Complaining over Facebook that your baby is such a hassle to take places and you are quitting breastfeeding because all the baby wants to do is eat is not reaching out for help. It's just complaing. @alyen2

I honestly didn't even take into consideration that she could have postpartum depression and if that's the case then her best bet would be to talk to a family member or her doctor . But if she's just whining then she has to learn to get over it . I personally have never seen a new mom with postpartum but I have seen countless numbers of new moms who are just lazy and everyone else to take care of their child for them & that's what pisses me off

I made a post about women whining like this and everybody jumped down my throat about it. 🙄 Like there's an obvious difference between just straight up complaining, and crying out for help or just sharing your experiences.
