So sad and depressed. Breastfeeding was fine for the first month while supplementing with formula, and then suddenly she started to cry when I went to nurse her. It wasn't so bad for awhile, she would try, get frustrated, and try again. If she really had a hard time I would use the nipple shield.
Suddenly, now she doesn't just cry, but SCREAMS. Even if I just put her on the boppy in a nursing position. And don't even get me starting if I try to feed her she won't have it. Not even the sheild works anymore. She will scream and cry even harder. Until I give up and give her formula. I honestly wanted to stop formula and start EBF because it was effecting my supply, but now she refuses to breastfeed at all, maybe 2 times a day. In the morning when she wakes up she'll breastfeed because she's super hungry, but only a little bit so she has something in her tummy and then she's stop and start fussing for a bottle.
My heart is broken. I feel like I'm not good enough for her or something. I just want to breastfeed, when she does actually try, we have no problems. Her latch is fine and everything. I don't know what to do. My mom and boyfriend blame me for it and I'm just trying my best.

It's not your fault! Drinking from a bottle takes so much less effort than breastfeeding. Now that she's older she knows that and is just using it to her advantage. If you want to EBF I'd just stop giving bottles all together, if that's possible.

If you stop offering the bottle, she'll feed! She knows you'll give in. Babies are way smarter than you think

I read something on what's happening to me and they said to supplement with a bottle before nursing so they have energy to nurse because if their hungry their gonna get tired fast and won't nurse and it's really depressing because I've tried not giving her bottle but once I try to feed her she screams and she literally won't stop until she gets fed (with a bottle) like what do I do :/ she can just sit there any cry forever and not eat I'm just so devastated 😔 @theemmariefactor

If u want her to BF U will have to stop giving her one bottle at a time. Don't force it on her. Eventfully she will breastfeed

Don't feel like a failure. The fact that you are doing your best, is what your baby needs. Have you ever considered exclusively pumping ?
