Mommies who breast feed, how long did it take you to produce a good amount of milk and how many times did you have to pump each day to achieve that. I am only producing about 4 ish ounces for both breasts each time I pump HELP???
calling all mommies who are breast feeding or excessively pumping .. how did you all do it ?? I know some people pump right in the hospital day 1 !! I know my hospitals here allows you to pump from day 1 and breast feed at the same time they just give you a breast consultant to explain and show you how so you don’t mess up and get a over supply to soon . Some people only breast feed for awhile than pump 1/2 later . Some only pump period ... what’s your method and how successful are you ?? And how tough was it in the beginning ??
How many of you have done nipple stimulations with a breast pump? I thought you only did it with your fingers...

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to reduce (not stop or dry up) my milk supply? Nicole never latched properly so I pump. A series of events her first week led me to be determined to produce plenty for her. I was under the impression that you could only produce what your body can handle, which isn’t the case. Being completely wiped of energy and being cold easy is not fun. I’ve tried to cut back on my pumping time but I can produces 4 oz out of each breast after 5 minutes. Last night I have I drink out of my husbands beer and woke up shortly after with an extremely engorged breast. I’m hoping to keep her on breast milk (honestly, mostly because it’s free) but I’m starting to each the end of my rope here

four oz is pretty good, i barely get an ounce anymore lol 4 months into EBF

4 oz is a good amount! Mine was always less than that. It was stressful.

Should I pump after every feeding then, my daughter eats like every two hours and she's 8 days old

the 2 weeks I was in the nicu lol. every 3 hours for 20 minutes on top of nursing. I went home with 2 coolers full and continued once I got home only I did every 4

I only pump about three times a day right now, and I figured it was normal but it's not enough for my daughter, she's still hungry afterwards

if you are feeding from the breast and then pumping getting .5oz to 1.5oz is completely normal and a good sign of not having an over supply. nursing on demand is the best way to get your supply for your baby's needs
