Hello! I'm 27wk and just had my glucose test done. It was 161 as a result, so they called me to say it was elevated and I have to go back for the 3 hour testing. I'm super worried and been crying ever since then. Any of you had to retake the test? Any of you HAVE gestational diabetes? Do you take medicine? What could cause? I always heard there is a bigger chance I need to be induced and I'm so upset as I wished to have a natural birth.. Please someone who has info on this let me know..

lol my baby passed her blood sugar levels with flying colors means in a bold and assured way, in a spectacular or grand way.

I failed my first one, and passed my second one just fine. It's more common than you think. The first can be so sensitive! Good luck 😊

@johb, it's not as bad as it sounds like @mrs.cravens said. I had it and just kept my diet right and did some light exercise and was perfectly fine. My son was 6 pounds and 15 oz and his blood sugar levels were amazing (as the doctor put it) when he was born!

I also had Gestational diabetes with my last pregnancy if you do have it they will put you on a strict diet which elimates everything with sugar and you have to test your blood sugar I think 4 times a day as Long as you stick to the diet it's ok

I had to retake the test because I failed with a 158 (really close to yours!) and I passed with flying colors on my 3 hour one :)

I had gestational diabetes as well. it's not all bad besides the finger poking 4 times a day. diet not bad either. mine was bad enough to start medication but only on it a week before I went into preterm labor. exercise is also key to help with suger levels
