being induced is very exhausting! I'm going to try not to be induced this time around. I went in at 8 pm and didn't sleep much at all that night, then the next day i walked alot and bounced on the ball a lot, I was up to almost as high of a dose they could give me of pitocin and nothing was happening. I didn't get a very good nap that day, they broke my water cause I wasn't dilating past a 4 or 5, but after they broke my water everything went by so fast. I got the epidural just before they broke my water cause I didn't want it to be too late to get it lol. but I was so exhausted by the time it was time to push that I had to close my eyes and push cause I couldn't see straight! I gave birth at 11:36 pm and was up until after 1 am getting to sleep 2 hrs at a time after that was not enough. they came in every 2 hrs to have me breast feed. :( to me it was a terrible experience lol. I'm gonna try not to do it this time. but good luck to you maybe your will go smoother.

I was induced at 41 and a half weeks. get the epidural. the pitocin makes your contractions harsh and irregular. plus eat before you go. I started pitocin at 8 am and she was here by 10pm. to exhausted to eat after that

I was induced at 39 weeks with my first and I plan on doing the same with this pregnancy. I agree with the other ladies, definitely get the epidural when you can. I had a hard time dilating because my son had the umbilical cord around his neck and wasn't moving down the birth canal. My Dr ended up using the vacuum to get him out but the pain was not bad. The only thing that hurt was when they broke my water, which was before the epidural. hang in there girl, getting induced is not as bad as people make it seem :)

Walk and walk some more and if you can't handle the pain get an epidural I ended up getting one.

Get the epidural lol. I wasn't planning on it. But after they broke my water, the contractions were hell. The epidural made me one happy girl and I got to enjoy the experience! Good luck :)
