so my mom and boyfriend paid 1300 for a Old English Bulldog .. I heard they were supposed to be loving and fun. but ever since he got here he trys to bite my sons ears, hands, legs and feet. I keep him far away as possible.. but tonight I was giving my son a bath and he kept trying to jump in there with him and kept pushing him away and he bit me. bit me so bad you could literally hear my skin rip. its a small cut but very deep and was bleeding out. right in my crease of my finger too. 😠😠 can't do anything about it besides keeping away from me and him. and he is only 2 months.
Hes a puppy and teething, he needs a chew toy and exercise. Also all puppies nip, what worked for us was yelling loudly Ouch and stop whenever we were doing. She learned eventually, biting back doesnt do anything.
we have a 9 months old german shepherd. He bites us, and jumps on us, all day long. We buy toys and bones to keep him occupied also we put peanut butter in a Kong and it usually keeps him calm for a little bit.
yes however, that will just wean him to bite or chew something else like furniture or something he's not supposed to.
I also read that if you yelp like a puppy in pain he'll bite less and less hard everytime until he just quits. Theyre just playing
my bf bro has a 2 year old bull dog & I hate that dog with a passion, he cries and barks and is soo annoying
Yes, but if you don't show dominance he'll keep doing it thinking it's okay. You can literally hold him down, bite his ear, use a very stern voice while saying no or give him a little tap on the nose while telling him no. gotta stick to it though, do you have any toys for him? maybe get him a Kong and teach him to bite on that instead, just put a little treat in the middle of it and he'll be occupied with that for awhile or you could let him run around outside to get his playfulness and hyperness out so he's not trying to play and bite you.
yeah he is only 2 months. so its pretty much a stage they go through? @hhmariah
my sisters old English is that way. very very high strung. they need lots of exercise and training. he's not a biter but he is huge and out of control hyper.
