I lost a tiny bit of my mucus plug. like.. maybe the size of the edge of my pinky. I have a cervix check tomorrow. should I let my ob know? I've heard some women say once you lose some of it getting a check can it can make you prone to an infection. but I wanna be 100 percent sure and make sure he knows I'm starting to lose pieces of it. but I've also heard ladies say a cervix check with your plug can still make you prone to an infection.

no the plug is a lot more than edge of your pinky
was it just the plug or the bloody show
you're not prone to infection you'll be fine
you may lose more after tomorrow

you can lose pieces of it through the weeks. it all doesnt have to come out at once...i know what the plug is supposed to look like. but I'm losing PIECES of it.

I would say something. especially if its starting to fall out like that, he migbt still check you though, just to make sure everything is okay! :)

@nichole_lynn, that's what I was thinking. he said since I was efaced but not dialaiting he wanted to make sure he checked every week bc if I do end up getting to a 3 or 4 cm by 39 weeks. he plans to induce me since we live so far out from the hospital. he thinks since I'm already a little over half all the way thinned that I'll be dialating very soon and wants to make sure I'm not an hour away from the hospital

good luck!!! with your mucus plug falling out I'd assume their is a little dilation going on. mine never fell out so idk how it goes and if it falling out means dilating. @xbbycolletto
