Anyone else feel like their midwife doesn't tell them anything until last minute? Had my appointment this morning, to be told I should receive a letter for a growth scan and an appointment with an anaesthetist. Was only told this as I was ushered out so hadn't really any time to ask why.
@mama2bee, not gonna lie, I'm a bit of an OCD freak when it comes to organising things so having these appointments out of the blue without prior discussions really ticked me off😂😂 x
I know and I worry a lot aswells and yeh cuz I'm used to being in everyone buissiness lol @nico7 x
@jem29, hormones have a lot to answer for😂😂 x @mama2bee it's a horrible feeling being out the loop isn't it?x
Omg I was jst talking to my friend about my midwife tellin everyone else when she's coming to view me and she never tells me .... I have to hear it from my friends or my OH
@jem29, I'm more annoyed that it was a last second piece of info, I'd rather have talked it through if that makes sense? I'm not worried tbh just annoyed more than anything, but that'll be my hormones no doubt🙈😂 x
@nico7, I know :( but if it was anything to worry about she wouldn't just squeeze it in so try not to panic! they just don't realise how easily worried we get because they have so much knowledge and they forget we don't x
@jem29, I'll find out more next week when I'm back in for bloods😩. She's not mentioned my bmi before but baby is measuring bigger than expected so I assumed that was the reason for the growth scan. All of that makes sense, I'll hopefully have some answers next week. So frustrating to be told this when I've opened the door to leave then get given the info and waved off 🙈 x
@nico7, that's pants!! well it depends on why you have to go I guess but when I go they make sure I'm not putting on too much weight mainly lol! also I had to think about the fact that if I end up in surgery I need a senior anaesthetist due to my bmi, if they happen to be busy at the time it delays my labour putting me in danger. so basically if I choose to have an epidural when labour starts and the above situation happens, it doesn't need to be someone senior who starts to anaesthetise me for surgery therefore not delaying labour. hope that makes sense! x
@jem29, I know! I was in for 45 minutes today with her trying to get blood from me but my veins wouldn't give any. I have more holes now than a sieve. What happens with the anaesthetist? Honestly feel so out the loop with my own pregnancy sometimes!xx
Same ... I like to know weeks befor about an appointment rather than last Minuit @nico7
