Is it possible I failed my glucose test due to the fact I was tried,hungry and burning up? They said my numbers where slightly elevated not sure what that means. All I know is everytime I go to the doctors it's so hot in there it makes me sick and feel like I'm gonna faint so I do not want to sit there for 3 freaking hours.

I totally get it. I almost "forgot" to take it that day because I was going to fast for it to try and sway the results, but my doctor surprised me with "you got to get this done today" so I didn't have a chance. my blood sugar is naturally low though. last time, I ate an entire pack of oreos a few hours before the test and my doctor was shocked how low it still was
@emily18234, I don't think I was supposed to fast. I was sick when they told me to go do it so I ended up waiting to weeks before doing it. I just hope I don't have it because needles scare me so there is no way I can poke myself daily.
I didn't fast either. I had a bacon egg and cheese bagel and my sugars were still nornal. if it was a fasting test, it could have skewed the results, however, if it was not a fasting, then it would not have had an effect
@emily18234, I didn't fast. they said I didn't have to. I had a bagel that morning. I don't remember what I had the night before. I can't fast because it will do more damage possibly then good.
short term, if you went in there after drinking a slushie, yeah the test would be off. but if you went in there fasting, your insulin is not regulating your blood sugars like it should
no. glucose is blood sugars, so being hungry would mean your blood sugars would be low

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...

I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
Good morning ladies. Sorry I been ignoring yall but I have been so miserable the past days I'M STILL PREGNANT my contractions would be strong for hours and it looked like I was gonna have a baby then everything just stopped so I got sent home. they said I have to wait till my appointment Wednesday so I can talk to my doctor about the next step. So I just found out that my husband is sleeping with my sister and they are making fun of me.
@emily18234, I meant to take it sooner. You have to wait 24 hours sometimes for things to go through the system as ordered so I figured I'll come back Friday then ended up with a stomach bug the day of my appointment. So I was like I'll go Monday and ended up waking up with severe back spasms that lasted a week and a half. Now I'm concerned I have it and am harming my baby. I wish this pregnancy would hurry up I worry to much about her in there.
