So I'm going to be a single mother of two and I'm 23 years old. I really don't want more kids because of how extremely sick I've gotten during both my pregnancies and I have high chances of hemorrhaging. I really want to get my tubes tied but I have to get it on record now with the doctor so they'll do it after delivery. I know it's usually reversible, just in case any future husband may want more kids, I'm just scared and don't know what to do. And birth control makes me sick and messes with my body. Open to any suggestions, comments, insight!
I've thought about the iud but I've had 4 family members get pregnant with it so I'm scared of it. And I was using protection both times I got pregnant. I have terrible luck. @sarahb518 @stephhhx3 @yolee Thanks ladies :)
I agree, def don't do it if you are having doubts. I had the Merina (IUD) in for 4 yrs after my first. I had zero side effects because it's not a hormone based birth control and it lasts for up to 5 years. I would seriously look into this option. It is 100% reversible (I'm now preggo with baby #2 after having the IUD in place for 4 yrs). Talk over the option d with your doctor and don't make a decision that leaves you with any doubts.
just get the iud the one's for 10 yrs.. it's called paragard the copper one..or the one they put on the arm for 3 yrs
I'm married and 24 so it's a little different for me. I'm having my second and am getting my tubes tied. I'm 100% done. Wether something was to happen with me and my husband or not I do not want anymore. But if you are having doubts I wouldn't get it done at all. It can be reversible but sometimes it's not effective there's a chance even if you had it reversed that you wouldn't be able to have any still. Maybe try the IUD? I've heard they are good.
And I really really don't want more kids. I'm certain of that. I love my babies to death but two is enough for me. That's all I've ever wanted.
