my boyfriend lost his job for no reason! they give you 3 strikes until they fire you. he had 2. but that's besides the point. he checked his schedule for work and it says "schedule unavailable" and he received a letter saying to pick up his last pay check. he didn't have the third strike and they didn't give him a reason for firing him. he was a hard worker and always did what they had asked. now I'm stressing even more.

That is most likely really illegal, depending on what company. I would fight it.

@babymay2016, it was Walmart. We're going to try to fight it because they didn't even tell him he got fired or gave him a reason.

you can be let go without reason if stated so in the contract. If they do not give a written reason, it is very hard to fight for unemployment

Well according to my husband California isn't an "at will employment state" meaning they can hire you or fire you for any reason they wish as long as it doesn't "discriminate". That's how Washington State is, so I would say talk to an attorney, they have to give a reason.
