Go to a 3D ultrasound place. That's where I found out at 14w4d

I'm 16 weeks and I don't have another Ultrasound until March 30th 😕 starting to panic lol I can't buy any of the cute stuff without knowing if it's a boy or girl. I went to meijer abd was getting soaps and lotions etc. tried to get a safety first set with nail clippers and a nose sucker brush and all that, yea only comes in blue or pink sets there.

Omg really?! I should totally do that. But will the 3D ultrasound hurt the baby in any way?

@cindy143xo, The 3rd ultrasound is no different from the normal ultrasound. I have done 2 of them. It is 100% safe

It's literally the same exact thing as a regular ultrasound. They don't do anything to the baby. It's the type of machine they have that turns the image 3D.....

@m.bullock, I've just heard! 😂 lol. Obviously they're safe. People just say that if the baby doesn't have a certain problem then there's no really a need for a 3D ultrasound. But i'll definitely give it a try!

@cindy143xo, Mmm I don't think so. 3D ultrasounds are usually done closer toward the end of the pregnancy to see baby's profile {the face} They're for fun. You can go to a 3D ultrasound place where you pay out of pocket and it has nothing to do with your doctor's office, or some doctors offices offer 3D ultrasounds.

Yeah there's no special reasoning for it. It's more of a treat and and a 3D ultrasound isn't going to be any better then a regular ultrasound to determine gender at 17 weeks. You're gonna have to pay over $100 for it for the same answer you'll get at a regular ultrasound. You're far enough along where it's a guaranteed gender. I would just wait.. Or just pay to get a gender determination one

Check around on prices. I paid $60 and got tons of pictures.

Also, my 3D gender ultrasound was $150, BUT I got 8 more visits for only $20 each and that's a steal. So definitely look into it. Some places offer packages like that. It's always nice to have extra ultrasounds around the end just to see baby more often and get some cute ultrasound pictures before they arrive. You're only pregnant with that baby once!
