it's a private lab in a small town. a pregnancy test will be exactly like what you would take from the store except they can use your blood or urine, make sure you request the blood test. the beta will tell you how much hcg you are producing. . high numbers means further along, multiples etc. normally betas are done in multiples or if you having a miscarriage. if the hospital or lab gives you any problems Just request for your dr, local health department, or ob to order you one @desilu

nope you can go into any lab or hospital and ask for a blood pregnancy test. you might have to pay out of pocket. I'm a phlebotomist. we do it all the time.

I thought they didn't do blood test unless it was medically necessary? @mandi4189

possibly. have a blood test drawn. my mom could never get a positive home preg test even trying when she KNEW she was.
