No theyve changed the guidelines. 37 weeks is no longer considered full term

yes 37 weeks is still full term my doctor told me yesterday im 36 week and shes going to try everything any anything next monday when im full term at 37 weeks as long as baby weighs 6lbs yur good

There's a lot of studies that show babies born at 37 weeks have a higher rate of learning disabilities. That's 3 weeks early. Your goal should always be 40 weeks. I known it sucks and it's uncomfortable but is 3 weeks really worth possibly causing life long problems for your kid in the future? No responsible doctor will ever try to rush a birth. Doctors that rush babies are doing it for money. The sooner they get you off their hands the sooner they can accept another patient. I would NEVER trust a doctor that wants to jumpstart labor 3 weeks early. I was born at just under 37 weeks and wet the bed until I was 12. Its one of those things they've linked to premature birth - under developed bladder.

40 weeks is full term, the only reason a doctor should be trying to take a baby our before then is because of complications. my daughter was under developed and still breached at 37 weeks..now she has a lot of problems because they tryed to take her out then and I said no. I'm hoping with my son he will stay until I'm 40 weeks. it's uncofortable but of rather stay that way for the health fully developed baby.
