Ok has anyone had the blood test done to see if your baby has any problems? They gave me a choice today to do it and I'm on the fence about it! I have till Tuesday to let them know.

I did it. Glad I did. It didn't cost me anything and gave me peace of mind. If he had a problem I would have wanted to know so I could prepare.

I did I feel like no matter what outcome is I'm still going to love my baby and if something is wrong gives you time to learn about the problem and educate yourself on how to take care of baby

i had to do mine lol.. with the nt scan and my last apt i gave blood for the afp protein .. if its a blood test isay do it..

I didn't do it. there are a lot of false positives and I didn't want the extra worry if it was wrong and no matter what I was keeping her.

@cheydollison13, I did it last Wednesday and I get the ultrasound on March 7th, but I got my results today and I say go for it. I found out my baby's a girl and she is healthy, and the piece of mind that gives me is amazing

I would definitely do it. Even if you don't want to know what the outcome is!! It tests for a lot of different things! My dr explained it to me that no matter what I want to know, if there is something they will have to do surgery on soon as she is born they can have the surgeon and entire surgery ready for him or her soon as she is born and won't have to rush in an unexpected frenzy!! It helps them tons take care of baby!! And then if they do have something wrong and you decided you want to know you can learn more about it and prepare yourself on how to fit all of your babies needs around that specific problem without the unexpected rush to learn!

I didn't do it because if he did have Down syndrome I didn't want the extra stress and worries on me. no matter what I'ma love him and care for him, I just didn't want to stress out even more while being pregnant.
