I just need to vent on how FUCKED UP our "justice system" is...

My fiance has a really bad record as a MINOR.. Nothing extremely crazy just stupid stuff. & got in trouble 1 more time at 18 years old. the court system used his record as a minor against him & turned one of his charges as a MINOR (15 yrs old) into an ADULT Strike & now had to take another strike & serve 2 years in prison on a higher security level because of his "prison prior" which he served in juvenile hall for a few days!! so him being the only financial support his family has, the fact he turned his life around completely when his son was born, works 40+ hours a week, is currently going back to school, is an ACTIVE member in a church group, & has not gotten in anymore trouble means nothing. I completely agree he should have consequences for his crime but seriously? your taking away a dad to two babies, & throwing a 19 year old dad who's trying his best in a high security prison because of an "attempt to commit a felony" no chance of probation, even asked the courts to send him to a men's home because he deals with addiction & that's the whole reason for the "attempt" but no.. sending someone to prison seems like the Better choice.... way to go justice system for failing us once again!

Outrageous! A 5 year old was detained and questioned at his school for taking a toy gun to show his friend. He was so scared he wet his pants and his parents weren't notified until 2 hours into the questioning. He was suspended for 10 days, but it was reduced to the 3 days he had already served after the parents and others complained. The school stated that the situation was handled appropriately and would be handled in a similar manner in the future.

So I put his crib railing down and rubbed his chest and he took a big breath then started crying. I took him out and was holding him and he kept trying to fall back asleep. Then he started shaking. He was not cold cuz he has his warm jammies on and he dont have a temp. What should I do?
