Make sure you eat plenty. I'm just now getting my appetite back almost a month after giving birth. I wasn't eating enough and it made my milk supply low so I ended up having to switch to formula.

Stay hydrated. And remember it's a supply and demand thing so nurse whenever baby wants to nurse. Don't supplement if you supplement it can mess with your supply. Skin to skin helps so much as well. No pacis or bottles for the first month because of nipple confusion

Try and relax. It's easy to get stressed out but it helps to relax. And when they get engorged (and they will) you can apply a warm compress to ease the pain or a hot shower to help too. Snack a lot, feed on demand, and rest. Resting helps your supply

Dont give up! It will kind of hurt in the beginning but if the baby latches on correctly the pain should be for a short period of time. Put breast milk on your nipples an let it air dry it helps for dryness and soreness!

Trust your instincts. I never worried my LO wasn't getting enough. he had enough dirty and wet diapers so I was happy. also cluster feeding sucks but (even at the hospital) she will be attached to u all the time and it's so necessary. it's a comfort thing. not because she's not getting anything. :) you'll do great mama!

Make sure you get plenty of nipple cream!! They will dry up and crack and bleed ! Something close to Vaseline thick is best.
