Is it possible to just leak fluid at 38 weeks instead of your water breaking completely?
Mine just leaked with my first son it leaked for about 10 hrs then my contractions started and I knew for sure it was my water good luck!
My water was leaking, didn't fully break until I went to the hospital and they checked me. But because I was leaking amniotic fluid for so long they had to give me antibiotics to prevent infection, and If I didn't deliver within like 6 to 8 hours they had to speed up my delivery by pitocin or c section. Otherwise it could harm the baby. So yes I would get checked.
@ilyric, you are a pro! I've had 3 kids so far and thought I knew everything but apparently not. thank you!
very possible for it to not smell! put on a pad and if you fill a pad within an hour I'd say go get check. @emichelle
water breaking and creating a gush is actually highly unlikely because babies head should be pushed into the pelvic cavity. Leaking is highly likely :)
Everyone tells me the fluid smells sweet and that urine smells like ammonia. Is it possible for either to have no smell at all? @nichole_lynn
